Here s a new (June 2006 when Matt from the site contacted me for a review) and really neat site for fishing info in Colorado. And one that other info site would do well to replicate for there areas in some aspects. FishExplorer.com is all about fishing information for the state of Colorado, with excellent info on lakes and the fish you can catch.

They are using a really good mapping tool to add to their information on the lakes in Colorado and something I ve not seen the like of on any other fishing sites as yet. They ve used the Google Map Technologoy to allow visitor to see the map of the lake, and additionally marked fishing info on them. Not only does the FxR Lake Nav tool allow you to see the map, it also has really useful info laid out in an easy to access way, including boat fees, contact numbers, photos, weather reports and fishing reports and other useful goodies for the fisherman visitor.

The FxR Lake Nav has a large number of lakes already listed in good detail, and reports are added to them on a regular basis by the looks of it so far.

In addition to the excellent lake map and guide service on the site, here s a comprehensive listing of the fish you can catch in the lakes listed. Some have photos of the fish, all have links to lakes where they can be caught, with a descriptionof the fish etc.

Other parts of the site include a forum, links to other sites, fishing news from the local area and an article page, with 2 fishing articles posted so far. The site includes 3 levels of access, the public site from which all mentioned in this review can be accessed, a free membership account and a premium plus account.
