Baitsonline is, yes you ve guessed it, an online bait retailer. I have had the time to now look at the site and review it. I would point out up front that as usual I have not purchased from the website whilst reviewing it, if anybody has experience of purchasing please feel free to add your comments.

Baitsonline was launched in 2003 purely to supply fishing bait over the internet to UK anglers. Since then it has become the largest dedicated supplier of fishing baits over the internet in the UK.

Baitsonline is owned and operated by Cedarstone Ltd. who supply bait and bait making ingredients to the wholesale market. Cedarstone s roots are in UK agriculture. This has enabled the company to source and develop a wide range of fishing baits using only the highest quality ingredients.


This is part of the background information that the site gives about itself, in the about us page, with further information clearly presented about the company and its history. This is symptomatic of the whole website, in that it is clearly laid out with good information in a fast page loading style, which means that the site is easily browsed without being overly flash.

There s a whole variety of baits (from worms to pellets) and bait enhancers & additives, and these are broken down nicely into the relevant sections on the site. Looking for further detail on the various items, gives further options to purchase in terms of type,size, flavour etc, usually with an illustrative picture.

The individual products are clearly described, with preparation, suggested uses and tips. There is also links with these products to related baits etc, which is quite handy for finding the goodies to catch the fish with.

The shopping cart appears to work as you would expect, and if you are a new online shopper the site helpfully has a section on how to buy on line with and illustrative step by step guide.

The only section that appears to be incomplete is the "bait guide" page which is lacking information to be sent in.

Overall as someone commented earlier in a news article about baitsonline, this site does exactly what it says on the tin (or in this case domain name). A well stocked online bait retail & manufacturer site for the coarse and carp angler, which would be worth a browse round.
