Fishermens Tales Type of Site: All of UK

Fishermenstales is a site that is different to many of the sites about fishing on the web, in that it doesn’t concentrate it’s attention on fishing venues and how to fish information.

Not that it does n’t have this sort of info on the site, in fact it has plenty of good tips and info on fish species, venues etc.

No, this site has in my opinion a unique focus as far as I have so far seen on the web, in that it looks at the one thing fishermen are perhaps most famous for other than catching fish. That’s right their stories, and hence the sites’ title I’d guess. There’s a cracking selection of stories from fishermen around the country, not just posted by the site’s authors themselves, but stories submitted by visitors to the site, which helps to keep the site topical and worth a repeat look every so often.

The site also has an active forum, from which the most popular topic at the time I was looking was on lure making & a good selection of serious fishing articles to boot.
Fishermanstales also has a top sites list, website awards, a large fishing photo gallery of visitors fish and recommendations for books on fishing.

The content is large and is updated on a regular basis, and to avoid making me add a long list of the content that’s on the site, I’d strongly suggest you take a visit yourself.

OVERALL 9/10 - verdict: An excellent site, well worth a look. Good selection of fishing information combined with some great stories.
