Dave & S Fishing Express Type of Site: Personal Website

This is a fairly new personal site, focusing on coarse fishing in South Yorkshire.The site is worth a visit, especially if your looking for information on fishing in the area or are looking for some info on coarse fish and tips on how to catch them.

The site has quite a lot of content already for a new site, with some good info on the local fishing spots that Dave likes to visit, with a mention of best approaches to fishing these spots as well.There’s also a nice few pages on the different coarse fish, with tips on methods that can be used to catch, and best baits.

Another good part of the site is the bits and bob’s page (I liked the bouncing fish), which has links to Dave’s knots and rigs pages which contain some good knot/rig pictures and descriptions.Additionally the site features results of local matches in the area, which is being kept up to date at the moment. Hopefully this will continue, as these are interesting to look and see how the catches are going in the competitions.The site has some good graphics on it & good use of scrolling text, to help keep the site looking interesting rather than being just plain text, but does not over do it so the pages are slow to load.

The junior fisherman pages while still being new also have an interesting set of games available to play. For example there is a Gold Fish Game (you need to have flash to play) that sees you trying to save your pet goldfish that your room mates trying to fry. Starts off quite easy - but gets pretty hard after a while.

Dave & S Fishing Express also has the normal photo, guestbook and forum pages, fishing poll, plus a good page on local tackle shops with their address and phone number on them.

A minor criticism about the site I would add, is that some of the pages do not have a back to the main page button and so you have to use the browser back arrow to go back.

Overall the site is well worth a visit if your looking for coarse fishing info from a local angler in South Yorkshire. Hopefully the already impressive amount of content will continue to grow.
