Meadow Waters 03/06/07

Post Posted: June 03, 2007, 08:48:32 PM

Off to Meadow Waters with Daz again today,03/06/07.
We arrived at around 9.30, fishing for 10am.

Baits, Red Maggot, Bronze Maggot, White Maggot, 3mm Feeder pellets were added to my groundbait, Marine Halibut type.
I fished the feeder again, Daz was using his pole and feeder rod.

The weather was glorious, roasting hot, too hot at times.
Now the fishing.

Daz was first to land a fish, a skimmer, he continued to catch skimmers, dace roach at a steady pace.

The first fish i caught was a fine skimmer of about 3/4lb, more came to my net, 7 in all. I also managed to catch 5 bream average weight about 2lb, 3 roach and this little fella

Must have been very hungry because it took a unbaited hook, LoL.
The day got hotter as it went on, the fish were loving it, thrashing about on the surface, rolling and having fun while we poor anglers baked in the hot sun.
The other picture i took are not very good, blurry, so i wont put em on
It was a pleasure yet again to fish with Daz.
Thanks mate.
Oh here's my peg with my gear on

YUK! Eels! And on an empty hook....now that's desperate.

Fortunately not had one of those chappies this year myself...now that's cursed the next trip out.

Spent my weekend by the banks of a ringwood lake (Hightown for those that know it.) Not a bite, but did catch a fair bit of the sun. I'll have to post some pics when my home PC is fixed and working again.
